AI Usage Notice

Lingot uses artificial intelligence systems to help users study languages. This notice explains in simple terms how AI is used in the service.

1. Where we use AI

Lingot may use artificial intelligence for:

  • written or voice conversations;
  • correction of texts, sentences, and exercises;
  • generation of examples, explanations, and teaching content;
  • creation of exercises, homework, readings, and micro-drills;
  • transcription or handling of voice inputs;
  • audio synthesis or artificial voice;
  • summaries, reports, and study suggestions;
  • personalization of the path based on language, level, goals, and previous activities.

Available functions may change over time.

2. AI provider

Lingot uses AI services provided by OpenAI and may in the future use other equivalent or complementary providers.

To generate a response, correct a text, or carry out a lesson, Lingot may send the AI provider the content entered by the user and the context necessary for the session to function.

3. Data sent to AI

Depending on the function used, the following may be processed:

  • messages written by the user;
  • texts to correct;
  • exercise answers;
  • learning goals and preferences;
  • native language, studied language, and level;
  • voice transcripts or audio inputs;
  • history or teaching summary necessary for lesson continuity.

We invite you not to enter sensitive data, personal documents, financial information, health data, professional secrets, or third-party personal information not necessary for study.

4. Model training

Under OpenAI API standard settings, inputs and outputs sent via API are not used to train or improve OpenAI models, unless the service owner explicitly opts in.

Lingot does not intend to share user content for model training, unless explicitly communicated otherwise.

5. AI limitations

AI-generated responses may contain errors, inaccuracies, omissions, or incomplete explanations.

AI may:

  • correct imperfectly;
  • propose examples that are not suitable for every context;
  • misunderstand a request;
  • generate translations that are not natural;
  • miss cultural, professional, or personal nuances;
  • vary in its answers even when requests are similar.

Lingot is a study support tool, not an infallible source.

6. No guarantee of results

Lingot does not guarantee achievement of a specific language level, passing exams, official certifications, school results, or professional results.

Progress also depends on frequency, method, personal practice, starting level, and correct use of the service.

7. Verification of important content

Do not use AI responses as the only reference for important decisions.

For legal, medical, financial, academic, professional, or official content, always verify with a qualified source or competent person.

8. Responsible use

The user must not use Lingot AI to generate or process illegal, offensive, discriminatory, sexually explicit, fraudulent, harmful, defamatory content, or content that violates third-party rights.

Lingot may limit or suspend access in case of abuse, improper use, or violation of the Terms of Service.

9. Availability and external services

Some AI functions depend on external services, including AI providers, infrastructure, network, and payment systems.

MAVILIO Corporation and Lingot do not fully control availability, response times, costs, errors, or changes to those external services.

For technical, economic, legal, or quality reasons, we may modify AI models, limits, functions, and Lings consumption methods.
